In our mission statement it reads: We support people who are actively chasing their dreams. It is clear that the good people at Unseen Heroes are not only chasing a dream, they are living it. Unseen Heroes is a lifestyle Event Agency based out of Sacramento, CA. They create unforgettable experiences for clients, consumers and the community as a whole. Founded in 2008, by Roshaun and Maritza Davis, who are not only business partners but are also life partners. Which is fitting because they have built something that resembles more of a highly productive family than a business. They truly put people first.
“When you start to employ people, it’s so great to have a good team but also the challenge with that is; ultimately you are the person responsible. I like to think that my team is like my family, so if we all don’t make it than I would feel like I let them down. So I always feel a higher sense of responsibility” – says Maritza
Aside from running Unseen Heroes, who are responsible for creating events year around, running Display: a rotating pop-up boutique, and DAMAS: a woman’s boutique, they also have 3 kids who are often present around the Unseen offices, which further creates the family dynamic. That ethos seamlessly carries right in to the work they produce. Everything starts and ends with the community and empowering the individuals within it.
“If you have creativity and have you the talent and you can use it to help others, it gets you a lot further.” says Roshaun “It’s like our name Unseen Heroes, we don’t really care about the shine, we care about the client and the community”. – Roshaun
That couldn’t be truer. Unseen doesn’t just pop up events in random places with random activities and attractions. They immerse themselves in the area and really try to understand it before doing anything else.
“It is really about thinking about what the different areas need and catering an experience to that.
We always look at what community we are in and try to figure that out. What will work there? What will stick? What will make it successful and really accessible to the community? And then give them a space that they really want to celebrate”. – says Roshaun
Thanks to the Unseen Heroes their community have plenty of reasons to celebrate.
